2 held for selling liquor illegally in UP

Two persons were arrested today on charges of selling liquor illegally at a well-known sweet shop following a raid in Gwaltoli area here, police said.
"During the raid, two shop employees Kuldip and Rahul were arrested and six cartons containing 65 bottles of liquor were recovered, while the owner is absconding," SSP Shalabh Mathur said.
The well-known sweet shop used to be overcrowded in the evening which raised suspicion. Following a probe, it surfaced that most of the people in the crowd were liquor customers, he said.
The owner of the shop was selling liquor without any license, the SSP said.

Investigation in the case is underway and hunt is on to nab the owner of the shop, Mathur said.
