2 held for trafficking drug, marijuana recovered

Two men have been arrested for allegedly trafficking drug and 324 kg of Marijuana worth Rs 1.5 crore in the international market was recovered from them, police said today.
Nazrudeen (30) and Sanjay alias Bhola (32) were arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi police on Sunday from Pushta Road in Shakarpur after it received a tip-off about them.
"Information was received that Nazrudeen, a resident of Mustafabad, Delhi, in connivance with Sanjay, a resident of Burari used to procure Marijuana from one Tinkoo of Orrisa and supply it in Delhi.
"It was further leant that both of them would bring Ganja in a vehicle from Ballabhgarh and would go towards Khazuri Khas," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
Following this, a trap was laid around foot overbridge, Lalita Park, Pushta Road in Shakarpur. At about 10 PM, the vehicle reached the spot which was stopped and the duo were apprehended. During search, the vehicle was found loaded with gunny bags containing Ganja Marijuana weighing 324 kgs, he said.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Crime Branch police station, police said.
During interrogation, Nazrudeen allegedly said he used to work as a helper in a telecommunication company where he came in contact with one Sanjay.
To earn easy money, the duo joined hands and started selling Marijuana in Delhi after procuring the same from one Pradeepta of Orrisa.
