The mishap occurred at around 11 AM when the bus carrying 44 passengers was travelling to Bhadrachalam from Khammam when it suddenly overturned before a bridge near Godavari river at Bhadrachalam, police said.
"In the incident, one woman passenger died on the spot while the bus-driver succumbed to his injuries later. 25 others who sustained injuries were hospitalised and the condition of five of them is serious," ASP, Bhadrachalam Sub-Division, M Bhaskaran said.
He also instructed officials to provide proper medical aid to the injured passengers.
