The incident occurred at around 11 PM yesterday when a part of the two-storied building in "dilapidated" condition collapsed, resulting in the death of Akbar and Wajid, both in their 40s, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials and eye witnesses said.
Telangana Excise Minister T Padma Rao, who visited the spot, said in view of rains lashing the city for the past couple of days, this old building collapsed.
An eye witnesses said the incident occurred while Akbar, who runs a meat centre on the ground floor of the building, was closing the shop, resulting in on the spot death of Akbar and Wajid, who works at the shop.
A case in this connection was registered by the Chilkalguda Police.
