2 killed, eight injured in bus, oil tanker collision

A woman and an infant were killed and eight others injured when a Punjab roadways bus collided with an oil tanker at Amritsar-Pathankot by-pass here today.
The bus was going to Batala from Amritsar when the tanker rammed into it from the rear, police said.
A woman, Kirandip Kaur, and an unidentified two-year-old girl were killed in the mishap. Eight injured passengers were admitted to civil hospital here, police said.
The drivers of both the vehicles fled after the accident.
