Two persons were arrested for alleged liquor smuggling from Vijay Nagar area last night and 20 cartons of Indian-made liquor were seized from them, police said today.
The duo have been identified as Shanu and Nafis.
City police have started a special drive to check smuggling of liquor at multiple entry and exit points on the borders and several raids would be conducted in different parts of the district in the upcoming days.
