2 minors die, 1 injured after lintel falls off

Two minor sisters today died and their brother was seriously injured after a poorly-fixed mantelpiece of a house collapsed on top of them in Kiratpur here, police said.
14-year-old Rukhsana and nine-year-old Rubina died after the stone lintel fell on them at their home in Rangdapura village under Kiratpur Police station, police said.
While the sisters died on the pot, their seven-year-old brother, Farmaan, was taken to a nearby hospital and is under critical condition, they said.
Parents of the victim were not present at the spot when the incident took place, they said.
The matter is under investigation, they said.
