2 pvt quarry workers killed after boulders fall on them

Two workers in a private quarry were killed on the spot when rocks they were drilling to fix explosives gave way and fell on them near Rettaimalai.
Police said Senthil (35) and Maruthamuthu Selvam (50) were drilling the rocks to fix the explosives yesterday when the boulders gave way and fell on them, killing them on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot late last night and retrieved the bodies.
A case had been registered against the owner of the quarry and its manager, police said.
