Two lovelorn teenagers ended their lives by setting themselves ablaze at Jagityal in Telangana, police said Monday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Venkataramana said the boys, both aged 16 and studying in the 10th standard, fell in love with two different girls of the same school where they were studying, and their affair came to the knowledge of their parents.
Fearing exposure of their affair, the boys planned to end their lives the way a hero does in a recently released Telugu movie 'RX100', the officer said.
They bought petrol from a nearby petrol station, doused themselves with the fuel and set themselves afire Sunday, he said, adding that they succumbed to burns.
