Initial reports said a bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up at a checkpost near the Rangers headquarters here after he was stopped for security check.
The suicide blast was the third attack today in which at least two Rangers personnel were killed.
Earlier in the day, two improvised explosive devices were set off near Rangers security posts.
