Acting on a tip off about the theft and sale of electric wires of the Power Development Department (PDD), Police intercepted a vehicle and recovered not only electric wires but also a large number of empty cartridges in Doda district, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Gareeb Dass told PTI.
He said that four people, including two SPOs, one scrap dealer and electric wire seller were arrested and a case was registered against them.
They have been identified as SPOs Saif Ali and Ramzan.
