2 teachers killed by militants in northwest Pakistan

Unidentified gunmen today attacked a government high school and opened fire on teachers, killing two of them in Pakistan's restive northwest.
The teachers were gunned down in Khan Bari area of Hangu district, bordering Kurram agency.
Unidentified militants attacked the government high school and opened fire on teachers, killing Shamim Badshah who belonged to Hangu district and Liaqat Ali of Kohat district.
While one teacher died on the sport, the other was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, a police official said.
Police reached the spot and began a search operation after and cordoning off the area.
At least 15 suspects were arrested by police in the search operation.
Meanwhile, students and residents of the area took to the streets to protest the killing and closed down the main bazaar of Hangu district demanding justice for the teachers.
