Officials of the education department said the teachers Ravichandran (50) and Ponnarasan (45) were accused of sexually harassing two girls studying in ninth and 10th standard.
When the parents of the girls complained to the Head master, the two teachers who were called for enquiry denied the allegation.
The girls' relatives and the residents of the village held a demonstration demanding action against the two teachers and blocked the road traffic.
Later, a seven-member committee held an enquiry and found the teachers guilty. They were suspended by Chief Education officer C Santhi after the receipt of the enquiry report today.
