2 women of a family seek action against Mahisagar SP N K Amin

Two women from Mahisagar district have knocked on the doors of Gujarat High Court alleging that the District Superintendent of Police N K Amin is harassing their family.
Ansu Shukla (29) and Sonal Shukla (29), married to two brothers of Shukla family of Virpur village, also sought the ouster of Amin as the District SP in their petition.
Justice A S Supehia today issued notices to Amin, state Director General of Police and Gujarat government. Further hearing would be on November 7.
The two women alleged that Amin threatened the family on the pretext of investigating an old case related to death of a person in fire at an office owned by Shukla family in 2013.

Amin also made derogatory remarks about the character of women in the family, stated the petition.
The HC should set aside his wrongful appointment as SP of Mahisagar, the petition said, and demanded police protection by the personnels not directly under Amin's control.
Amin should be shunted out during the hearing of the matter, the women demanded.
Amin was charge-sheeted in Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Ishrat Jahan fake encounter cases. After he got bail in August 2015, the state government posted him as SP, Mahisagar. He was reappointed on 'contractual basis' as SP of Mahisagar after retirement.
