20-yr-old woman dies in blast at illegal fire cracker unit

A 20-year-old woman died in an explosion while allegedly working for an illegal fire cracker manufacturing unit at a house in Bakli village here today, police said.
Deceased Saira was injured in the blast at the illegal manufacturing unit operating within the house and died while being taken to a hospital in Meerut, ASP Kalpana Saxena said.
During investigation it surfaced that firecrackers were being made without proper license, the ASP said, adding action would be taken against those running such unit.
