Security forces today defused a 20 kilogram Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was cleverly concealed underneath a road in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada.
A joint team of CRPF and state police found the bomb hidden inside a road that leads to Chintalnar in Sukma district while they were on a patrol.
A bomb disposal squad of the central paramilitary later defused the IED, a senior official said.
The area has been a Maoist hotbed and Naxalites had carried out their biggest attack on security forces here in 2010 when they ambushed and killed 76 security personnel.
