Raids were conducted by west district administration this morning in a shoe factory, garment unit and plastic appliances factory leading to the rescue of the child labourers, Awanish Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Punjabi Bagh) said, adding that the youngest child that was rescued was found to be 8 years old.
According to officials, the rescued children hail from different districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Yesterday, a similar raid was conducted in Rajouri Garden by Virender Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, during which two bonded labourers were rescued -- a girl of 18 years from Assam and a 19-year-old boy from Jharkhand.
