21-year old engineerin student drowns in Pykara Dam

A 21-year-old student today drowned in a dam attached to the Pykara Power project, some 25 km from here, police said.
The deceased Vignesh was a second year student of a private engineering college here and had come to Pykara along with five of his friends this morning.
Police said they were taking bath in a shallow portion of the dam when Vignesh slipped and fell into an area where the water was deep and drowned.
Local and fire force personnel recovered the body, they said.
Vignesh is a resident of Indira Nagar at Bengaluru.
