The body of the girl, a teacher in a play school here, could not be traced as yet even though the police pressed divers to retrieve it, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Jacinta Kerketta.
She said the girl's boyfriend Ashutosh Banerjee was an agent in the post office and was having affair with Anjali for last one and half-years.
Anjali had called Banerjee at a place beside the river in Adityapur in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district and drove out in a scooty in the midst of conversation with him only to jump into the river from river overbridge, the DSP said.
