23-year-old student jumps off university building, dies

A student of a private university near here allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the fourth floor of a campus building, police said today.
Rahul (23) was from Haridwar in Uttarakhand and was a final year student of B. Pharmacy of the university, Chaheru police post incharge Balwinder Singh said.
He said the student allegedly jumped to death from the fourth floor of the university building yesterday.
Rahul has left behind a suicide note but has not blamed anyone for the extreme step, he said.
Police said they were investigating the matter and a case has been registered under the relevant provisions of law.

Post-mortem of the body is being conducted, he said.
