Acting on a tip off, two separate teams from Naubasta police station conducted raids yesterday recovering cash worth Rs 1,21,000 and arrested 24 gamblers on the spot, Kanpur SSP K Immanuel said.
Of the two raids, 14 people were arrested from Morang Mandi area with police seizing cash worth Rs one lakh eight thousand from the traders, he added.
In another raid conducted at Yashoda Nagar area, 10 people were nabbed from a building and Rs 13,000 recovered from their possession.
