26 officers suspended for not attending poll-related meeting

Over two dozen booth-level officers were placed under suspension today after they failed to attend an election-related meeting for Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency here, an official spokesman said.
As many as 26 officers were suspended, pending an inquiry, with immediate effect after they failed to attend a poll-related meeting at SKICC here, the spokesman said.
The officers failed to attend the meeting despite prior information, he said.
The concerned authorities have been asked to withhold their salaries till further order, the spokesman said.
