Three men were arrested on the charge of pickpocketing on Delhi Metro trains and buses, the police said today.
The accused, Raju (31), Rahul (28) and Ravi (33), used to operate in groups, they said.
Following a complaint in February that Rs 45,000 in cash was picked from the pocket of a man while he was boarding a metro train in Karol Bagh, an investigation was launched.
Explaining their modus operandi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Metro) Deepak Gauri said, the accused would first identify the victim and then start pushing him by claiming that they were in a hurry and in the process pick the victim's pockets.
