Three people were arrested with 16 kg of opium worth Rs 1 crore in Rajasthan's Nagaur district today, police said.
At least 16 packets of opium, weighing 1 kg each, were found in a tool box of a truck at a check post near Parbatsar, SP (Nagaur) Anil Deshmukh said.
The truck driver, identified as Hakim Khan, and his helper Ayub Khan had brought the narcotic substance from Jharkhand and were on their way to deliver it to Hazari Lal Soni in Phalodi town, he said.
The three men were arrested, he added.
