3 dead, 3 injured as MUV collides with tempo in Maha's Palghar

Three persons today died and three others were injured after a multi-utility vehicle they were travelling in collided with a tempo on Varai bridge near Manor in neighbouring Palghar district, police said.

The accident happened on the busy Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway at around 4pm today and police teams had rushed to the spot, an official said.

"The Force Trax MUV rammed into a tempo coming from the opposite direction. Three persons, including a woman, died and three were injured. The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Virar," a Manor police official said.

He said that the process of identifying those dead was currently underway.
