3 die, 4 fall ill after allegedly consuming tincture

Three persons were killed and four fell ill and hospitalised after allegedly consuming some alcohol-based tincture in Bhimpura area here, a district official said today.
Ramjatan Yadav, aged 32, Dinesh (30) and Manoj Ram died after allegedly consuming tincture along with tablets in Nadpalia Chatti village, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Brij Raj Singh said.
Two of the four admitted to hospital were in serious condition, he said.
Agitated over the deaths, locals placed the bodies on the road blocking vehicular traffic.
They lifted the siege after the SDM promised adequate compensation to the bereaved families.
