3 get life term for murder in public view

Three youths have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for allegedly stabbing to death a man in full public view in a shopping area here over personal enmity in 2014.
Additional District Judge M Jothiraman held Prakash (27), Manikandan (25) and Satheeshkumar (27) guilty of killing Yuvraj and awarded two life imprisonments -- one for murder and another for conspiracy -- to them.
In his order last evening, the judge also sentenced them to three years rigorous imprisonment for threatening the public and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each.
All the sentences would run concurrently, the Judge said.

According to the prosecution, Yuvraj along with his wife was doing shopping on November 11, 2014 when the three fatally attacked him with a knife. When the passersby tried to intervene, they had threatened them.
