3 held for manhandling youth in Thane

Three persons, including a mother-daughter duo, were arrested for allegedly manhandling a 21-year-old youth in the city, police said today.
Sushil Jaiswal was manhandled on Saturday by the trio along with six others, Thane Police PRO Sukhada Narkar said today.
The trio was arrested on Saturday. On June 9, Kopri police received a complaint that an unidentified youth was calling a girl and repeatedly pestering her, police said.
The girl's family members on the same day lodged a NC offence, they said.
Police officials said as the youth repeatedly kept harassing the girl, the family took help of women's wing of a political party.

The trio along with other six others dragged the youth into an auto-rickshaw, brought him to Kopri here and manhandled him, police said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered and investigations are underway, they added.
