3 held for manufacturing mixed fuel oil worth Rs 1.21 cr

Three persons were today held for allegedly manufacturing mixed fuel oil worth over Rs 1.21 crore without due licence, police said.
The trio - Shakil Ahmed Khan (43), Roshan Jaiswal (30) and Anantkumar Jagru (35) - was apprehended from premises of a factory in MIDC Ambernath, Senior Police Inspector PD Wagh of Ambernath police station told PTI.
Wagh said the company had licence for the manufacture of chemicals only while it procured petrol, diesel, machine oil and converted them into greases and sold it in the market.
The company has permission to deal in used and waste oil. It had lubricant oil, grease, petrol, high flash, HSD, and mixed naphtha and petrol like material. It manufactured and sold mixed fuel oil worth over Rs 1.21 crore in the market, he said.
Apart from the trio, the owner and manager of the factory have also been booked under relevant sections of Essential Commodities Act of 1955, Maharashtra Solvent, Raffinate and Slop (Licensing) Order, 2007, Petroleum Products (Maintenance of Production, Storage and Supply) Order, 1999, Lubricating Oils and Greases (Processing and Distribution Supply Regulation) Order, 1987, Naphtha (Acquisition, Sale, Storage and Prevention of Use in Automobiles) Order, 2007, he said.
Police said investigations are underway.
