3 killed, 11 injured in road accident

Three persons were killed and 11 others injured when a car and an autorickshaw collided with another vehicle in North 24 Parganas district today.
The accident took place on Bongaon-Bagda road when the vehicle hit the autorickshaw and the car, both coming from the opposite direction, police said.
Under the impact of the collision, one of the cars and the autorickshaw fell into a wayside ditch.
Locals rushed to the spot and joined the rescue work.
The occupants of the vehicles were taken to a nearby hospital where three of them were declared 'brought dead', the police said.
The injured were admitted to Bongaon sub-divisional hospital, the police said.
