Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law & Order) Pradeep Kumar said the incident occurred when the bus' driver lost control of the vehicle near Diha More.
Three persons died on the spot and 12 others were injured.
The bodies, which are yet to be identified, were sent to Gaya Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
Kumar said the injured were admitted to Belaganj primary health centre and a private clinic.
The driver of the bus fled, he said.
