3 killed, 12 seriously injured in accident

: Three persons were killed on the spot and 12 seriously injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a parked sand laden lorry at Valanadu near Manaparai in the district.
Those killed included the two bus drivers and the lorry driver, police said.
Th bus was carrying 35 passengers when it hit the stationary lorry, which had been parked on the roadside to replace one of its tyres which had burst.
The lorry had loaded sand at Musiri and was proceeding towards Sivaganga.
All the injured have been hospitalised.
