3 killed, 15 injured in Bihar as railing of roof caves in
Press Trust of India Buxar Three persons, including two minor girls, were killed and 15 others injured after the railing of rooftop of a house collapsed as a crowd assembled at the spot to watch a marriage procession in Bihar's Buxar district, police said today.
The incident took place late last night as the railing of rooftop suddenly came off, unable to withstand the weight of a large number of people standing on the structure to have a glimpse of the 'barat' passing by underneath, at Ghanchapra village, Brahmpur police station in-charge Gorakhnath said.
The victims were identified as 32 year-old woman Taimur Nisha and two girls - Gulal Ansari (12) and Shazia Parveen (14), he said adding 15 others suffered injuries.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured persons admitted to a hospital, police said.
