3 killed as bus catches fire in Karnataka

Three passengers were charred to death and several others injured today when a private bus carrying 17 people caught fire in Karnataka's Hubballi city, police said.
The fire broke out from the rear side of the non-AC sleeper bus on a national highway in Varur near Hubballi, about 420 kms from here.
The cause behind the incident was not immediately known, police said.
Fifteen passengers, apart from the driver and cleaner, were in the bus proceeding to Dharwad from Bengaluru.
The injured have been admitted to various hospitals, they said.
