The three persons who died on the spot were travelling in the tempo at the time of the accident among over dozen other people, they said.
One of the deceased has been identified as Imran (48), Circle Officer Shivraj Singh said.
Those injured have been rushed to the hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable.
