Three members of a family were killed and two others injured in a road accident on NH 60 near Rupsa police station, about 15 km from here today, police said.
The family was on its way to Puri from West Bengal when their car hit a wall on the side of a bridge, the officer-in-charge of Rupsa police station S C Mahallik said.
The victims were rushed to the district headquarter hospital, where doctors declared three of them brought dead.
The dead have been identified as Kasinath Sengupta (65) his wife Jayanti Sengupta (60) and their married daughter Shriya Sinha (35), the police said.
The injured were Rana Sinha (40), who was driving the car and Abhinanda Sengupta (6). They are undergoing treatment.
