Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a criminal syndicate, were arrested from Bisra area in Odisha's Sundargerh district and some arms and ammunition seized from them today.
Acting on prior information about the presence of the three in the area where they were trying to extort money from local businessmen, Bisra police arrested them, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Ramesh Panigrahi said.
Police recovered two .303
Rifles, 10 live cartridges
and mobile phones from the trio, involved in several crimes in Jharkhand and Odisha, the police officer said.
The SDPO said adding the three were planning a major crime but were nabbed well in time.
