Three under-trial prisoners, facing charges of murder and loot, today allegedly escaped from the police custody when they were brought to a local court here.
The incident occurred this afternoon as the under-trials identified as Rinku Bangali, Kamlesh Saroj and Krishna Vishkarma, were brought to the court for hearing where they were put in the lock up, Superintendent of Police Akash Kulhari said.
The trio broke through a toilet wall to escape from the custody, he said.
They were lodged in the district jail in connection with loot and murder cases, the SP said adding that efforts were on to nab them.
