30 more CG police stations to be opened soon
Press Trust of India Rameswaram As part of strengthening security, 30 more coast guard police stations were being built and would be opened soon, C. Sylendra Babu, ADGP, Coast Guard today said.
On a visit here, he said at present they were 12 coast guard police stations in the state.
He said a training programme would be started from tommorrow at Pamban for coast guard police.
A land consisting of 230 acres had been allotted for coast guard police at Oolaikuda, near here. A coast guard police office with radar facility would be set up in the area.
