30 year old man dies in clash

A 30-year-old man died in a clash between two groups of people at a function near a temple here, police said today.
The clash occurred after a group objected to another group creating disturbance at the cultural function last night.
The two groups started throwing stones at each other and in the melee, the man was stabbed.
He succumbed to his injuries in hospital today, police said, adding, seven persons have been taken into custody for questioning.
Police are maintaining tight vigil in the area.
