About 300 persons were taken ill after eating 'prasad' distributed at a temple today on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
About 300 persons complained of vomiting after eating prasad at Jatashankar temple in Bagli town, Chief Medical Health Officer Amar Singh Vishnar said.
They were admitted to a government community health centre at Bagli and other private hospitals and a team of doctors was also rushed from Dewas to provide medical help to the affected persons, he said.
It was suspected that they suffered from food-poisoning after consuming prasad which comprised of 'sabudana khichdi'.
