The instrument was recovered from a property in the Midlands last week, UK police said.
The rare violin was intact with some very minor damage, they said.
It was stolen from internationally renowned violinist Min-Jin Kym in 2010 when she was in a sandwich shop near Euston Station in north London, BBC News reported.
The 35-year-old violinist said she has "an incredible feeling of elation" after her stolen instrument was recovered.
"This had been the instrument I had been playing on since I was a teenager so it was a huge part of my identity for many years. Obviously it was devastating," said Kym.
A man and two teenagers had been convicted for the theft in 2011, the report said.
However, the violin, along with a 62,000 pounds Peccatte bow and a bow made by the School of Bazin, valued at over 5,000 pounds, were not recovered.
