30kg poppy seized from truck in Jammu; driver arrested

A 30kg consignment of poppy was seized from a truck here with its driver having been arrested in connection with the case, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police last night set up a check-post at Narwal Chowk in Jammu city and intercepted the vehicle which was being driven by one Darshan Parida from Odisha.
A search of the truck yielded the poppy, they said, adding that a case has been registered in the matter.
