In Etah, 21 people were killed and 23 others injured when a roadways bus in which they were travelling fell in to a canal here in Pilua area late last night when the driver lost control over the vehicle, they said.
Among the dead were 11 members of a family, including a newly-wed woman, going to Ghaziabad from Aliganj after the marriage ceremony.
The bus was going from Farukhabad to Delhi when the mishap took place.
In the third incident, six persons were today killed and eight others injured when a truck was hit by a jeep from behind in Bedupara village in Lambhua area under Sultanpur district.
