Thirty seven fresh and positive swine flu cases have been reported, taking the total number of cases to 1,925, according to a bulletin issued by the Telangana state government said here.
"In the current year from January 1 to March 11, 5,967 samples have been tested, out of which 1,925 samples were found to be positive. The number of deaths because of other complications and swine flu as on date, are 69," it said.
The bulletin said that 117 samples were sent for testing yesterday and 37 samples tested positive for the virus.
The bulletin issued yesterday put the number of deaths at 66.
The Telangana government has advised citizens to take precautions such as reporting the appearance of early symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain to hospitals immediately, the bulletin said.
Sufficient stock of medicine is available at different hospitals in Telangana and ample testing kits are also available, the bulletin said.
