The main accused, identified as Prem Masih, lured one Jswant Kaur to secure a job for her son Sukhdev Singh in Punjab police. He demanded Rs 3 lakh from her, Batala SSP Inderbir Singh said.
As the woman arrived at Kandial village here after withdrawing Rs 3 Lakh from bank, the accused took the money from her and fled away from the spot, he said.
However, her another son gave a chase and overpowered Prem Masih and handed over to police.
