4 die as sand-laden lorry rams pick-up van in East Burdwan

Four persons including a woman died and five others were injured when a pick-up van they were travelling in was rammed by a sand-laden lorry from behind at Raina in East Burdwan early today.
The driver of the lorry and the helper hasve been arrested.
According to the police, the accident took place in the early hours of Wednesday along Gouranga Road when the van was heading towards Burdwan town with several passengers.
The injured have been rushed to the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.
