A senior police official said the tourist bus, coming from Assam, collided with the truck close to Bamni Setu. Two passengers died on the spot.
Two others succumbed on way to hospital, he said.
Thirty-three passengers were injured and five of them wee taken to Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital in serious condition.
The rest 28 were under treatment at the Dhupguri Hospital.
