4 electrocuted, 5 injured as transformer catches fire

Four persons were electrocuted while five others injured after a transformer developed a snag and caught fire resulting in a short-circuit in Paleur village in Chamba, police said.
About 40 houses were affected due to the short circuit which left the people panic stricken after electrical equipment and wires caught fire in some of the houses late last night.
Five injured have been admitted to hospital in Chamba.
Power supply to the village has been cut for carrying out the repair work.
