4 given life for murdering couple on vehicle parking issue

A court here has sentenced four people to life imprisonment on charges of killing a couple over a vehicle parking issue in 2013.
The prosecution's case was that the couple -- Sankar and Prema -- had problems with their neighbours over parking and used to quarrel with them frequently.
On April 14, 2013, following an argument, four people attacked the couple with iron rods, leading to their death.
The case was in the Mahila court and the verdict was delivered by judge Muralidharan around 11 PM yesterday.
He sentenced Arul Das, Franklin, Jayakumar and Krishnamurthy, involved in the attack and murder, to life imprisonment.
